Welcome to BeautyTech.Info Knowledgebase. We are dedicated group of Beauty Professionals who’s goal is to educate those of you who currently patronize hair & nail salons, are thinking about getting hair, nail services or skin care services, or even had a bad experience you want to understand or learn more about.
This is the real deal from the people who use these products day-in & day-out, the chemists who research and develop these products. If these products were unsafe do you really think companies like CND, OPI, Essie and more would risk their entire empire using products that would cause, you, the consumer harm? Yes there are some nail products being sold and used that are NOT safe. As you will learn in the articles in this Knowledgebase, generally speaking the operators (we hesitate to call them nail technicians) and shops (we also hesitate again about calling these places salons or spas) that use these unsafe products remove the labels or put the products in unmarked jars and bottles.
As a 17 year NY Nail Specialist Licensee and webmaster for 16 years of a networking portal site for beauty professionals, I am sick up to here with this attack on the industry and people I love.
The BeautyTech.INFO Knowledgebase was set up for you, the salon consumer to get educated. Yes, the better educated you are, the more you will come see us in our salons, but that is NOT the base reason here for the Knowledgebase. Money is NOT the reason here. The nail consumer is being lied to every day, either by “Chop Shops” (or as we call them, to be more politically correct, Non Standard Salons) or by the press in any number of public arenas .
Oh and we’re not selling you anything, nor are we asking for donations to further any cause. Our purpose is true, a better educated salon consumer is our best friend, we’d like you to be our best friend!
We welcome your beauty service related questions. After searching, if you can not locate an Answer to your Question, please ask us. A seasoned beauty professional will give you an honest complete response.
