I hate it when my roots are showing!

I want to start coloring my hair. It’s beginning to gray now. But I’m afraid if I don’t like it, I’ll be stuck with that awful line of “growing out color”. Isn’t there any color that doesn’t leave a line if I don’t like it?

Actually, there are color products on the market that don’t color hair “permanently”. These are referred to as “demi-color” or “deposit only color”. They work by “laying on the outside of the hair” shaft. They don’t actually become part of the hair itself. They last about 8-12 shampoos, depending on the porosity of your hair, the heat of the wash water and the strength of your shampoo. These are wonderful colors for “first timers”, or for those wanting to stop coloring their hair and allow it to grow out. Ask your stylist to explain these further to you. I’m sure they’ll be able to assist you in making the right decision for your hair.
