Conditioner use?

I never have used conditioner before. My hair is fine and limp, and the conditioner’s always make it feel gummy and it won’t hold any curl. Now that I’ve colored my hair, it’s tangle-y. What can I do?

Color (or perms) can leave hair feeling more dry, and more prone to tangles. There are so many types of conditioners on the market. There is the type you use and rinse out, and then there’s the type you put in after the shower (leave-in). If you have fine, limp hair, OR an oily scalp, you may find the "leave-in" is a lighter conditioner, and perhaps will work better for you. Or, you can ask your stylist to recommend the type you can use that won’t weigh your hair down or leave it "oily" feeling. The products purchased from your salon should have a "guarantee", so we recommend purchasing from your stylist. This way, if it’s too heavy for your hair (or not heavy enough!) you can exchange it for a different type (the salon’s are reimbursed by the supplier, so no need to feel guilty…we ALL want happy clients, therefore we’ll do our best to satisfy your needs).
